Alison Dilworth is an inter-disciplinary artist, born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada in 1978.  A painter, muralist, puppet builder, book maker, installation artist, amateur taxidermist and writer, her work explores the wavering line between the tangible and the ephemeral, the relationship between the precious and the abandoned, and dichotomy as a general point of entrance.  In 1998, following a liberal arts education at University of Windsor, she moved to Oakland, California, where she studied photography, painting, stained glass, and stone carving.  In 2002, she moved to Philadelphia, PA and earned her degree at Temple University's Tyler School of Art, with a focus on painting, printmaking, sculpture, and community arts.  As co-founder of the puppet troupe Hangnail Productions, she joined St. Ann's Warehouse Puppet Lab in Brooklyn, NY.  Her recent work includes several commissioned murals in Pennsylvania, California, Arizona, and Mexico.
